How we Share your Information

We do not share your personal information without your consent except as described below and elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. We may, however, share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

With Benefit Providers. We offer you benefits, services, and discounts through third-party entities (“Benefit Providers”) on our Website. We may, in certain instances, share your personal information with Benefit Providers, solely in order to support their efforts to make their offers available to you, and for no other purpose. Benefit Providers’ own data collection and sharing practices are governed by their privacy policies, not this Privacy Policy.

With Vendors. We may share personal information with companies or individuals we hire to provide services or perform business functions on our behalf (such as print, mail, texting, or email vendors; web hosting vendors; and consultants) because these vendors need access to the personal information to perform the functions we have requested of them. These vendors are contractually required to treat any personal information we provide as confidential, and to use the personal information only to provide the services we have requested they perform on our behalf.

For Advertising and Analytics Services. When you visit our Website, we may allow third-parties to provide analytics services and serve advertisements on our behalf across the web and in mobile applications. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, and other technologies to collect information about your use of the Website, including your IP address, web browser, mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages or in apps, links clicked, and conversion information.

This information may be used by Union Privilege, and others who assist us with the provision or promotion of benefits, to analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, deliver advertising and content targeted to your interests on our Platform and other websites, and better understand your online activity. This collection and ad targeting takes place both on our Website and on third-party websites and apps that participate in those ad networks. As a result, you may see certain ads on other websites based on prior activity on our Website, and vice versa.

With your Union. We periodically share account and profile information with your union.

Pursuant to Legal Requirements. We may disclose your personal information (1) if we believe, in our sole discretion, that we are required to do so by law, such as in response to a court order, subpoena, or similar investigative demand; (2) as we deem appropriate or necessary in response to requests for cooperation from a law enforcement agency, taxation authority, or other government agency; and (3) as otherwise required by law.

In Connection with Business Transfers. In the unlikely event that Union Privilege (or substantially all of its assets) is acquired by another entity, or in connection with a direct or indirect reorganization process, such as a sale, merger, consolidation or bankruptcy, information on our visitors would be among the transferred assets.

Your Personal Information Choices

Account information. We can tailor and personalize content based on your preferences and profile. You may update or correct your personal information at any time by logging in and updating your profile pages.

Email and Text. Any user who receives Union Plus emails can unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link provided in every email Union Plus sends. If you subscribe to our text message program, you can unsubscribe by texting STOP.

Cookies. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies. Please note that if you choose to remove or reject cookies, this could affect the availability and functionality of our Website. Additionally, the opt-out mechanisms described in theTargeted Advertising section below generally rely on cookies to retain your opt-out preferences, so if you reject or erase cookies, your opt-out choices may not function properly.

Targeted Advertising. The Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) has provided the “AdChoices” mechanism for users to exercise choice about placement of interest-based adds. For more information about interest-based ads, or to opt out of having your web browsing information used for behavioral advertising purposes, please visit www.aboutads.info/choices.

It is important to note that your choice to stop targeted advertising is specific to the browser you are using. If you make a choice to opt-out from one computer and/or browser and you want your opt-out to apply to a different computer and/or browser, you must also opt-out from that computer. It is also important to note that most of these choices are cookie-based. If you delete cookies after making an opt-out choice, you will need to perform the opt-out again.

Data Location. You must consent before we collect the precise location of your mobile device. If you have previously consented, you can revoke that consent at any time through your device’s operating system location preference controls.

Access and Erasure. If you would like to access, correct, or erase your data, please contact us at 1100 First Street, NE, Suite 850, Washington, DC 20002 or info@unionplus.org. We will honor your request to the extent we are able or as required under applicable law.
